| Tiivistelmä: | This paper is paper is about venture capital firms' international staffing; there are three key issues that are presented: (1) composition of the international staffing pool, (2) reasons for the deployment of expatriates, and (3) the process through which staff co-ordinate international decision-making. The study bases on a combination of a survey and qualitative interviews. The results suggest that the recruitment of local executives is significantly more important for transferring knowledge than for other motives suggested in the literature. |
