| Tiivistelmä: | Performance in Organizations: The Use of Rational Choice and Systemic Explanations. New developments and challenges for organizations make old paradigms of performance increasingly problematic. At the same time concepts of business administration get more strongly influenced by social theories. This article deals with the utility of two theories discussed in sociology - Rational Choice Theory and Social Systems Theory - for the explanation of organizational problems, exemplified in the application on performance and specified on the background of the translation of labour power into performance. |
