Tiivistelmä:The importance of "core ideologies" for corporate success is largely recognised by business dealers. While there many ways to promote this, face-to-face training was acknowledged as a key contributor. Now face-to-face training is being challenged by the increasing use of cost-effective but non-culture specific "catalogue" e-learning. Some of the dynamics at play are explored from both a business and learning perspective. It is suggested that the financial arguments seem to be winning the day but it is argued strongly that business leaders under-invest at their peril in the promotion of their "core ideologies" through training.
