| Tiivistelmä: | The model presented in the paper is intended for use in managerial training and in management consulting, as well as in daily managerial work.It is an attempt to bridge the gap among theory and practice, among business oriented and ethically oriented decision processes.Both aspects of managerial decision making - business and ethical - are treated concurrently in a seven-step model, following established decision process patterns.Ethical concepts were carefully worded to form a comprehensible framework, adapted to managerial work.The structure of the model shall be adapted to specifics of the organisation and of the issue dealt with.Several questionnaires are included to act as reminders on specific stages of the decision process.For actual use in management training, management consulting and daily managerial use the model includes a set of instructions and tables.The model, as repeatedly stressed , shall serve only as a logical sequence of deliberations necessary for managerial decisions, which must be successful from the business point of view and good from the ethical viewpoint. |
