Tiivistelmä:The real reason reengineering and information management initiatives fail so often is because they are wrongly assumed to be engineering projects. The engineering model emphasizes design, modeling, and advanced planning. It de-emphasizes the human skills needed to make a community out of a set of people working on the same process or sharing certain information. Fortunately, in the areas of both information systems and business processes, participative middle ground approaches are emerging.
