Tiivistelmä: | Firms in high- and low-tech industries are compared. Information is given on a variety of strategic management practices in diverse industry settings. The recurring strategy-related gestalts are identified within high-tech and low-tech industries. The objectives of this study were: (1) to compare and contrast the individual strategic variables which comprise the business strategies of small manufacturing firms in high- and low-technology industries; (2) to identify patterns of strategic variables used by these firms; (3) to determine if certain strategy patterns are equally prevalent in high- and low-tech industries or unique to one industry setting. |
