| Tiivistelmä: | The year 1993 saw a rapid and continuing economic growth. It was estimated that the GNP of the whole year would top 3000 billion yuan, an increase of 13%. Increases in the output of agriculture and industry and major industrial goods were as follows: agriculture 4%, industry 20%, raw coal 4.2%, electricity 9.6%, steel 10.9%, 10 nonferrous metals 12.6%. The investment in transport and energy sources doubled and redoubled over last year, topping 100 billion yuan. The actual utilized foreign capital of the whole year was 33 billion U.S. dollars and the average per capita income of residents in cities and towns increased by 10%. |
