| Tiivistelmä: | China's foreign exchange reserve has increased rapidly. It reached USD 75 billion or so in 1995, an increase of USD 23 billion over last year. Such a scale is rational and necessary. The reasons are as follows: To guarantee the payment for the normal import and to pay back foreign debt including capital and interest, foreign exchange reserves of USD 50 billion and USD 10 billion are needed respectively. Besides, according to measuring and calculating, a foreign exchange reserve of approx. USD 15 billion is also needed to maintain the stability of foreign exchange. In China's current foreign exchange reserve , a considerable part of it, which results from the once factors can not have long-term effect. |
