| Tiivistelmä: | Since reform and opening up, China's tourism has developed rapidly. There is great potential of development in tourism in China and so no problem in struggle for higher objective. Now China has formulated the Ninth Five-Year plan for tourist development and the long-term targets through the year 2010. China's total revenue of international and domestic tourism accounted for 3.8% of GNP in 1997, which will rise to 5% in 2000 and 8% in 2010. So tourism will no doubt become a major pillar industry of the national economy. |
