From January to June the accumulated total volume of national social consumer goods hit 1480 billion yuan, an increase of 6.4 percent over the same period of last year. The capital goods market operates faster. From January to June the society-wide gross sales of the means of production reached 1930 billion yuan, an increase of 6.8 percent over the same period of last year. The market price keeps falling. From January to June the commodity retail price went down by 3.2 percent over the same period of last year. the falling rate of foreign exports decelerates and the rate of imports accelerates. From January to June the total volume of imports and exports came up to $158 billion, an increase of 4.4 percent over the same period of last year. |
