| Tiivistelmä: | It is estimated that in the early stage of the 21st century the demand of transport and communication will keep growing with more demand in passenger transport and less in goods transport. The annual passenger transport demand will increase by 5 percent while the annual goods transport will rise by 2 percent. The quality of transport will be greatly improved. The high-speed passenger transport and the materials-flow goods transport will be the development trend. Fundamental changes will take place in traffic management and the organizational technology of transportation. Therefore, we should continue to strengthen the traffic infrastructural construction, establish modern transport system, try to increase the transport speed. |
