| Tiivistelmä: | Advanced knowledge produces new technology which leads to economic progress that provides for social and political changes which ultimately create a new paradigm or worldview. The new worldview depicted here is computerism which is an ideology that was introducted in business literature over 20 years ago. This ideology was not perfected when it first appeared. Rather , the content of computerism has been developed as the proliferation of knowledge in the information age has brought the issues of socioeconomic survival into sharper focus. The major characteristics of computerism are described, and its possible impact on the future of mankind is estimated in the article. |
