| Tiivistelmä: | "Genomics", a new branch of biotechnology is described. The research works of US experts and laboratories are examined and the importance of the development of genomtechnology for the future of medicine markets is estimated. The relationships between research, production and financing are analyzed in detail. The role of isolated genes in producing new kinds of medicines is considered. A list of new genomfirms is presented with their activity and the legal conditions of patenting gentechnological innovations in Europe and the USA are described. |
