| Tiivistelmä: | Implementation of strategies for new technologies can be perplexing, because the factors that will determine the level of success are difficult to identify in the early stages. The interplay between technological, commercial, and strategic issues is complex. As participants in the implementation process, the company and its partners in the supply chain do not necessarily share a common evaluation methodology. The authors state that the "reason for change" analytic examines multiple attributes for the overall supply chain and the individual members in the chain. A simplified case example illustrates the application of the model and its advantages. The authors also state that managerial implications of the model are presented to include a more rational basis for interfirm cooperation across the supply chain. |
