| Tiivistelmä: | In France there is a marked distinction between noble and less noble professions. Technique and technology, mechanical engineering in particular, are considered inferior to such domains as science and art. This attitude deriving from French culture makes it difficult to implement new technologies including automatic installations which requires the cooperation of those who design the equipment, those who put them into operation and those who keep them operating. But appropriate industrial management may unite different professions to cooperate and in consequence enhance better use of new technologies. |
