| Tiivistelmä: | This article outlines a sociological explanation of how new technology contributes to medical service price inflation. It argues that this inflation has social roots as it results from the struggle between managers and physicians to control the organisation of medical services. The article presents an empirical case study as an example of the bureaucratic construction of prices involving new technology. |
