| Tiivistelmä: | The mortgage market is complex and changeable. Some changes may be unhelpful to borrowers. The unexpected upturn in rates in February 1994, though dismissed as a "blip" by some City analysts, was taken by others as a stark early warning of turbulence to come. Intending borrowers need to be aware that exactly the same loan could have a different cost depending purely on which broker is used. A happier development as far as borrowers are concerned is that doubts about endowments have spurred some lenders into promoting the advantages of repayment mortgages. |
