| Tiivistelmä: | The targets of Jiangsu province's modernization are as follows: It is good to make the whole province's GDP growth rate kept at 12% during the Ninth Five-Year Plan period. By the year 2000 and 2010, the total population of the whole province will be 73.6 million and 77.2 million. Accordingly the per capita GDP of the whole province will reach 23300 yuan. According to the said strategic targets, Jiangsu will realize modernization by three stages. It will adopt a strategy of moderately high-speed and stable, healthy and coordinated development. To do so, it will strengthen input in sci-tech and education, optimize lay out of productive force, keep the coordinated development of industry and agriculture and speed up agricultural modernization. |
