| Tiivistelmä: | After analyzing the state of China's manufacturing industry in recent years, this paper thinks that in China with per capita GDP still under US $ 1000, manufacturing industry should still be the main stream of economic development. In fact, China's manufacturing industry is underdeveloped. In 1997, for instance, China's electronic information industry output value was 45.8 billion yuan, similar to that of Singapore, which shows that its scale was too small. There exist other problems like low use rate of production capacity due to the fact that the varieties and quality of finished products do not meet the demand of market. On the other hand a large quantity of finished products need to be imported. The only way to solve such a problem thoroughly is to introduce the competitive mechanism. |
