The author reports on the volunteer scheme run by the Prince's Trust and looks at the way one company has adapted it. Releasing employees to do voluntary work in the community has become a respectable, even fashionable, practice for businesses over the past few years. Not only is it a good public ploy, but it really does give something back to the community in terms of the expertise, experience and skills of the volunteers. |
