Tiivistelmä: | Two efmd Corporate Member meetings in 1996 set out to explore the extent to which structured measurement systems can be successfully transferred from the technical training arena to the less easily defined behavioural training and development zone (e. g. leadership development initiatives). The ensuing discussions, involving some ten large companies, threw up great disparities in how they currently evaluate even more technical, and hence more measurable, programmes as well as the extent to which they believe it is possible to evaluate management development programmes. They concluded that the need to take evaluation to more advanced levels, such as 'Level Four', does not exceed the need to ensure that training is linked to the core strategic thrusts of the organization. |
