Tiivistelmä: | This paper considers the topic of e-learning. Education in the United States is an $800-billion-a-year industry. Corporate training is e-learning's fastest-growing segment, estimated to reach $23 billion by 2005. e-learning is still in its adolescence. There will be disappointment and pleasant surprises in the years ahead. Though e-learning companies have been successful so far in cutting deals with universities, it remains to be seen how long they last as universities move to offer their own degrees online. E- learning accommodates the growing number of people who must learn on the job, constantly upgrading their skills to keep pace. That relevancy makes e-learning popular among corporations, which also appreciate the chance to save money. |
