| Tiivistelmä: | Corporations also have reputation, and a positive one is highly valuated for many reasons. Since 1983 Fortune has conducted an annual Corporate Reputations Survey and ranked the reputations of companies in different industry groups based on the impressions of knowledgeable observers. This paper's analysis of the stock performance of the corporations on the Fortune reputation list shows that future stock performance is directly related to reputation. The results support Collins and Porras's thesis of visionary corporations, which are widely admired by their peers and whose corporate cultures lead to enduring outstanding performance that surpasses expectations over time. |
