| Tiivistelmä: | The information center /IC/ has reached mid-life crisis. The original service of the IC, support for end user computing, is still vital, but it is not sufficient for today's sophisticated users. The additional services that users are demanding may be managed by several different departments; these services are the subject of analysis. Organizations can benefit by centralizing the services within the IC to exploit the expertise of the IC staff, renamed end user counselors, to improve the transfer of technology. |
