Anyone who doubts Daewoo's determination need only visit the conglomerate's sprawling car-assembly complex west of Seoul. Giant placards hang everywhere, extolling the virtues of exports. "To the World, to the Future", says one. Colorful national flags of Daewoo's main overseas markets adorn the walls. But most striking of all is the occasional blond blue-eyed assembly worker. |
