| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines whether consumers discount their daily utilities. This implication is tested using data on the nutritional intake of food stamp recipients. The results show that caloric intake declines by 10 to 15 per cent over the food stamp month, indicating a considerable preference for immediate consumption. |
