| Tiivistelmä: | A series of bankruptcies is putting serous strain on Korea's banking sector and battering corporate Korea. Companies and lenders are reluctant to embrace radical strategies. Someone should introduce the techniques required to ease worsening corporate and banking credit crisis, and avert the economic implosion threatening to follow it. Success would allow Korea to complete its transition to the market-based economy. Failure would mean a worsening chain of chaebol and banking collapses that might ultimately force government intervention. |
