| Tiivistelmä: | Experiences in developing countries show that to use technology as strategic variable for development, various forms of analyses are needed that could help in evaluating the technological capabilities of a country. Concepts of "technology content added" and "level and gap measurement" provide basis for such framework. It is proposed to illustrate, how these concepts can be used to reasonably assess the technological capacities of the production sectors of a nation. Broad areas are also outlined, which may be examined to asses these capabilities. |
