| Tiivistelmä: | Since the 1950s, the federal government of the USA has pioneered the development of computer-based models and their use as decision aids. These models have been criticized by many authors. In the recent study, the development and test of a method for evaluating simulation models are described. It is shown how it can provide insights into a simulation's strengths and weaknesses, especially in terms of identifying areas for improvements. To this end, the resulting evaluative methodology was systematically applied to three Army simulation models that were used in the acquisition of air defence systems. |
