| Tiivistelmä: | A new analytical merge-event time-estimation technique, called the back-forward uncertainty-estimation (BFUE) procedure is introduced in the paper to include the time uncertainties of noncritical path activities in the risk analysis of a project network. The BFUE procedure is consistent with the pert procedure and critical-path method. With the development of the BFUE procedure, the merge-event time-estimation technique is not only a means of correcting the optimum estimation bias, but also a means of evaluating the project-time risk related to the use of slack time. |
