| Tiivistelmä: | A comparison between strategic partnership and venture capital is made. Both forms as competitive instruments are characterized. When an innovative company is looking for market access and market growth, often brings strategic partnership or venture capital into play. The fundamental key factors and decision criteria (financing, risk, technology, development of potential acquisition candidates etc.) are described and analyzed. The case of Condatec GmbH (Berlin) and Philips group are presented. The first has made contacts with venture capital companies, the second has been trying to find a strategic partner to assist market entries. |
