| Tiivistelmä: | This paper focuses on the maternal labour-force participation using preferred versus contracted work hours. Findings show that 2/3 of mothers working full time would prefer part time working. Reasons for not working part time is the nature of the job and the lack of career opportunities available for part-time workers. |
