Tiivistelmä: | A procedure is developed for obtaining the full asymptotic corrections of the stationary distribution of unfinished work in powers to traffic diffusion approximations. One of the results obtained is that an expansion may not be valid for all different values of the state variables for more complicated queues. The method of matched asymptotic expansions provides a framework for analyzing boundary behaviour as well as computing accurate approximations to quantities that vanish, e.g., the probability of the system being empty. The method of matched asymptotic expansions is assumed to be valid. |
