| Tiivistelmä: | The article presents a severe criticism of Richard Posner's commentary on Ronald Coase's 1991 Nobel Prize Lecture. The author of the article contends that Posner has not understood the Coasian message, misconstrues transaction cost economics, misconstrues game theory, has a truncated understanding of bounded rationality, the economics of information, and maximizing, and mischaracterizes empirical research in transaction cost economics. Nevertheless the comparative institutional analysis of the world of positive transaction costs is considered to be a worthy challenge. |
