Tiivistelmä:Digital is the second largest computer manufacturer in the US. It first ventured into developing an expert system for internal use in 1979. XSEL was conceived as an interactive sales-force aid. The story of its development goes back to the spring of 1981. The principles of managing interactive innovation are discussed as follows. 1. Involving users in the development of new software systems. The model followed by Digital can be listed under heading participative design. 2. Creating a support system. Its social and delivery subsystems are responsible for new technology implementation. 3. Organizational prototyping (i. e. experimentation and planned learning).
