Tiivistelmä:When countries are striving for bigger market shares, the tourism country's competitiveness is especially important. The competitive advantages should be identified and explored and the destination's competitive position should be well analysed. The sector's competitive position in the international market has a large impact on the degree to which a country can benefit from its tourism sector. This article studies the Integrated model of destination competitiveness developed in a collaborative effort of researchers dealing with the cases of Korea, Australia and Slovenia. The results reveal that Slovenia is more competitive in its natural, cultural and created resources. It is however less competitive in the management of tourism.
