| Tiivistelmä: | The paper provides roundtable discussion on market rationality. Recent academic research has raised considerable doubt about the rationality of financial markets. In the last few years, financial economists have become more receptive to the idea that markets behave irrationally. One of the authors predicted that over the next few years the purely rational paradigm will be subsumed by a broader psychological paradigm that includes full rationality as a significant special case. The subject of this article was to report that a new breed of fund manager has emerged who believe in market irrationality and that they can capitalize on investor sentiment. The article suggested that there is a lot investors can learn from these pros about how to keep their heads straight when investing. |
