Tiivistelmä:The topic of 'international entrepreneurship' (hereafter as: int. ent-ship.) is becoming increasingly popular with researchers examining how int. and entrepreneurial (here as: ent-pr.) activities (here as: acts.) intersect when people in organizations engage in pro-active brokering (here as: br.) and risk-taking (here as: r-t.) behaviour in cross-border contexts. It is to note that not all ent-pr. r-t., br. and opportunity-seeking acts. lead to internationalization. This might suggest that the only truly int. ent-pr. firms are those that are 'born global'. However, their ent-pr. acts. are more concerned with what can be constructed again in relation to global markets rather than as to the local/regional context. For small firms internationalizing a few years after start-up ('later starters'), int. ent-ship. is distinctive in that it is characterized by extending ...etc. ent-pr. understandings and practices.
