| Tiivistelmä: | This paper investigates whether land endowments and technologies used can explain the wine experts' and consumers' assessments on wine quality measured by action prices obtained in 1980-1992. Taking into account the likely dependency between technological choices and endowments, the authors use instrumental variables approach to identify the effects. The results suggest that quality depends substantially on technological choices but the effect of natural endowments is negligible. |
