Tiivistelmä:Distributed-computing architecture is a set of rules that describes how a vendor's products cam work with multiple heterogeneous systems connected by networks and treat them all as a single computing system. The vendors say that their architectures are open, interoperable systems which include a broad range of official standards. But very often they are delivering proprietary elements in various proprietary elements in various products are described and evaluated. Beyond the problems are differences in how each vendor implements a standard. User confidence is further undermined by the ever-changing nature of the models. Users need to establish and communicate a clear set of business requirements to the vendors.
