| Tiivistelmä: | In part for historical reasons, Scotland's four major clearing banks are increasingly going their own ways. At home, the banking markets is dominated by Bank of Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, TSB Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank. Their environment at home has recently proved relatively benign. In the past, recession has tended to hit Scotland harder than much of the rest of the UK. Dependence on heavy industry took its toll. Now, though, the balance of the local economy has changed. |
