| Tiivistelmä: | This paper reports on the formulation and application of a framework related to catchment (hereafter as: ctmt./ctmts.) level water resource management (here as: w-r-mgmt.) (9) indicators designed to integrate environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainability (here as: sust-y.) and applied to the River Dee and River Sinos ctmts. in Scotland and Brazil, respectively. The framework was found to capture a number of key sust-y. concerns, and broadly welcomed as a means of better understanding sustainable w-r-mgmt. Poor water quality and public water supply issues were especially remarkable findings (as: fndgs.) for the Sinos, while fndgs. for the Dee suggested more attention to be paid on building institutional capacity and public participation in ctmt. management etc. |
