| Tiivistelmä: | A recent survey of trade union recognition in Scottish electronics plants by the authors demonstrated that contrary to the common hypothesis about lack of unions in the industry, 70% of the employees in the survey worked in firms having recognized unions In addition to the information on the degree of recognition in the industry, the survey also contributed to the sparse UK literature on the determinants of union recognition. |
