Tiivistelmä:Employers must exercise legal and moral propriety when creating and implementing employee appraisal systems. It is crucial for employers to follow procedures that do not discriminate against individuals who fall within protected groups as well as those within the scope of federal statutes. The court is solicitous not only in the cited case of sex discrimination but also in instances involving race, religion, national origin, age, handicap, or individuals in other groups protected by federal law. Employers must ensure organization, consistency, and disclosure of appraisal information to the employee. These characteristics should apply to all stages of the employee appraisal.
