| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the arms industry on the basis of CSR, which has not been done up to date. The reason for lack of discussion can probably be found in the industry's privileged status relating to national sovereignty and defense. The author argues that the arms industry fails to meet CSR requirements regarding the environment, social equity, profitability and use of political power, and that the industry should be held responsible for the consequences of using its products including civil liability and responsibility under international human right standards. |
