Tiivistelmä:The development of world export trade has been one of the most significant economic issues in recent decades. The behavioral dimensions of distribution channel relationships that transcend national boundaries, is one extremely important area relevant to export marketing managers, but which has been given limited attention. This paper focuses on the role of company's export development in influencing the amount of power exercised by exporters in relationships with customers overseas. The paper attempts to examine exporting manufacturer power exercised in trading relationships with overseas distributors , and to identify differences between two distinct exporter categories in terms of degree of internationalisation. The results show that, based on the level of export development, there are differences in manufacturer's exercised pover levels.
