| Tiivistelmä: | The authors of the article state that the most recent and increasing developments of O.R. both in quantitative and qualitative directions and its spread dissemination in a lot of real life problems and activities are strictly linked with new results in applied mathematical research and with the very large computational power and information and communication technology. On the other hand, a large part of the technological changes and developments is itself a result of the application of this kind of studies, interacting then each other in short time and successfully. One of the most important instruments to stimulate the development of O.R. and the best way to rapidly exchange new ideas and promising research results is the organisation of international scientific meetings. |
