| Tiivistelmä: | The modern industrial company has to confront a double challenge today: how to offer quality products while reducing the duration of the innovation process. It is suggested that this can be achieved through a redefinition of the structure of the innovation process. It is described how to apply this new integrated process. The innovation process in an integrated structure is not defined as a sequence of activities performed by various departments, but rather as a network of activities operated under a unified supervision. Product development has a key role in the process of innovation: it transforms the product from the state of technological concept to the state of readiness for sale. |
