| Tiivistelmä: | The relation between jobs and the new economy is dealth with. The new economy affects jobs in three ways. It influences the overall quantity of the created jobs, the distribution and the quality of them. The relationship of the skill and the new economy is also examined. A whole new set of skills will be required, and they will be both deeper and broader than currently required skills. Some of the factors affecting skill requirements and the skills needed in the new economy are elaborated. |
