| Tiivistelmä: | A special meating of representatives of the "Group of Seven" concentrated on unemployment probles. The representatives agreed that unemployment is due to both cyclical and structural factors and that solution lies in free trade, structural labour market reform and stable economic environment. The importance of education, the job creation role of small companies and the reintegration of long-term unemployed people were emphasized. The problem is gaining prominence at international level, other bodies - dealing usually with economic and trade matters - turn also their attention to it, as unemployment rises and international trade opens up. |
